Our Mission at FCC...
First Christian Church exists to exalt Christ, evangelize the lost, edify and equip the saved for service to others and to encourage and minister to those in need.
Fall 2013 Sermon Series: "God's New Society Through Christ"
On September 8, we begin a verse by verse sermon series through the New Testament book of Ephesians. Ephesians has been described as “one of the most Christ-centered of all the books in a Christ-centered New Testament, revealing the glory of God in Christ. It is also one of the most church-centered books in the New Testament, revealing the glory of God in the church…Whereas the first half of the epistle establishes the identity of believers in Christ, the second half exhorts believers to be who they are in Christ in every situation and every relationship” (Leland & Philip Ryken in The Literary Study Bible: ESV).
- September 8: “God’s New Society” Ephesians 1:1-2
- September 15: “Present Blessings in Christ” Ephesians 1:3-14
- September 22: “Praying for Potential Blessings” Ephesians 1:15-23
- September 29: “Saved from Sin & Resurrected with Christ” Ephesians 2:1-10
Vacations provide a wonderful opportunity to visit and
worship with other Christian churches. If you’d like to know the address and contact information for churches in the area where you’ll be vacationing, you may contact our church office and we’ll look up the information. You may also use the online resource at the CrossLink website.
What do people need more than anything else? They need to be connected with God through Jesus Christ. From Him they draw meaning from the past, purpose for the present and hope for the future.
At First Christian, we are committed to leading people in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ by connecting them to God, nurturing them, and engaging them in service, outreach and worship.
At First Christian, we are building a community that believes in God’s promises of forgiveness, spiritual renewal, authentic relationships, and ever lasting life.
